Delphi Method of Estimation
Delphi Method of Estimation
The Delphi Technique is a strategy for predicting future events’ likelihood and result. A group of specialists discuss their ideas and independently provide estimates and assumptions to a facilitator, who then examines the information and delivers a summary report. The members of the group discuss and evaluate the summary report, and provide revised projections to the facilitator, who goes through everything again and issues a second report. This procedure is repeated until all participants have reached an agreement.
